Honda VFR800/Interceptor is a motor bike presented by Honda Motor Company in 1998. It is a successor with the VFR750F (1986-1997), which was preceded by the VF750, a machine with inclined failure of camshafts. Consequently, the engine of VFR750F was valiantly machine with the camshafts ordered by gears to recover the reputation of Hondas and to ensure such failures did not reproduce. [necessary quotation]

Of its first sales in 1986, the VFR750F strongly marked on many press reviews. While it envisaged in the beginning to be the sports make bicycle, the introduction of the lighter competitors (lighter including GSX-R750 of almost 30 kilogrammes) Honda incited in 1990 to the transition the VFR into a bicycle from sport-tourism of intermediate size, a category whose VFR became the reference mark in fact. However, from here 1997, the triumph and Ducati presented Honda with the significant competition of sport-tourism, thus Honda answered with a VFR800 reorganized in 1998.
